State Semi's

Game 20: 25 May at Emporia High School at 11:00nvs. Bishop Carroll (2-0)

Well, after a dress rehearsal Friday, we came back for real Saturday morning at 11:00 as we tried to find a playing window within the storms all over Kansas this weekend. We were lead out for the parking lot with a police escort. Check it out!

It was a great match between 2 balanced teams—two teams who played so hard. It was still tied at zeroes when the clock began showing 16 and change. There were a lot of good players sprinkled all over the pitch.

Our defense is so in sync right now. They just are not providing many good opportunities for our opponents. And Taylor. Well.

We cashed 2 goals, both off our throw-in play. Amanda brought the trash position to a new level as she delivered the game-winning goal from there. Grace added a second, late.

So, we have to have a shoutout for Meg Ramaekers’ throw-ins, as they provided both goals.  And we had other chances off her throw as well.

This has been quite a post-season run, and now we find ourselves in a rematch with St. James. It should be a fun and competitive final.

We play for school state title 110 tomorrow.

We now stand 12-7-1.
